Last year over 250 riders took part in the first Sandpoint Bike-to-Work day. Join the crowd and take part in the second Bonner County celebration of biking to work, the most environmentally efficient and cost effective means of transport going. This year we have included schools to encourage biking for youth as well. Join as an individual or sign up your employer and coworkers. Coldwater Creek, Lake Pend Oreille school district, Litehouse, and Schweitzer Mountain Resort are already promoting the event for their staff. Although registration is not required, it makes you eligible for a prize drawing featuring new bikes and a ton of other valuable donated merchandise. The drawing will take place at the first Bike Film Festival at the Panida Theater on Friday, June 6. You need not attend to win a prize. Registration if free but you may order a t-shirt for $ 10 ($15 after May 10) and join the hundreds of Bonner County residents expected to pedal their way to work and school.
Contributors include Petal Talk, Bonner General Hospital, Bonner County Sheriff’s Search & Rescue, Summit Insurance, Edward Jones, Pend d’Oreille Winery, Finan-McDonald, Alan LeMire Photography, Misty Mountain Furniture, MickDuff’s Brewery, Six Star Automotive, Dynamic Fitness, Diedrich Manufacturing, Mt. Baldy Dental Center, Pend Oreille Surgery Center, Steve’s Import Auto Service, Sandpoint West Athletic Club, and Sandpoint Furniture.
